I just read Slashdot's collective opinion on this Rossi guy and his exothermic reaction generator named e-cat. It ain't good. Ah, well. Maybe one day...

Cold Fusion? We've heard that one before...

There is a man named Andrea Rossi who not only claims to have finally discovered cold fusion, but has a worldwide demonstration planned for October 28, 2011. I found out about it from Mark Gibbs at network World. I must have been slacking in reading slashdot to not have heard about it through that website first. Man, it will be nice if this thing is real. It would upset so many people's oxcarts (disruptive technology) that who knows exactly how it will effect my own life. It seems like it would have to put the price of oil through the floor. The materials involved in the process would become worth so much more than they are currently.

I guess I'd better get over to Slashdot and see what all of those eggheads think about it.
